The Road Trip, Part 2

Friday was a the ride back to KL and the prospect of making the lil trip to attend Cleo's 50 Most Eligible Bachelor Party in , er , Mist, Bangsar. With the long weekend holiday of Labour's Day, traffic was b.a.d...
Reached KL pretty late, and in the end we gave up the plan to head down to Bangsar to support the few friends in that competition.

Saturday was spent unpacking and cleaning the rest of the nonsense from our little trip, and after a few dozen calls and BBMs we secured our invites for the night's Hennessy Artistry in Opera, Sunway. It was nice for a change that we need not to give directions to our little uncharted hill-side hideout (yes, as of current, Google Map has only the nearby disused pond as the topography of the area) as Jason knew the place and with his bad direction-giving skills, Andrew actually got the both of them here to pick us up.
After the usual scramble for the physical invite tags to be on our wrists, we were in there by just after 11pm; and just in time for Spinderella's robust cover of Use Somebody.
Old-school friend Eng Lim was there too, most probably with his British American Tobacco colleagues (presumably so, since I did not scan his brother or any familiar old faces off his table) Kinda felt bad that I did not spend some time over a glass or so with him. It does occupy my attention to be keeping track of where my date would be running off to from table to table, celebrities to socialites to bloggers to long-lost clubbing pals of hers.
Was surprised they squeezed in another act in the line-up for this round. Of course the name of the group is lost to me; a 3 piece with members from Brazil and the States. Of course, we waited in anticipation for Vandalism to hit the decks. Seemingly my first time in Opera, I got to testify that the place was freaking hot. Ventilation problem or somewhat; topped with poor performing air conditioning. Kinda miffed that our friend Moe wasn't emcee-ing the event; as it was only just Fay for the night. Snapped some pics, drank some, met some, and got the approving eye from this utter not-so-straight male.
Nope, I didn't take any pictures with the, ( i shouldn't put guy, yeah?) person.

It would've been a blast; if only the ceiling did not collapse, or the ventilation would've been better. Well, thats just if only. Promising, yet somehow both shows fall sub par, perhaps the masses expects a little bit too much? Anyhow, here's to more Hennessy Artistry !(with fingers-crossed for better luck too)
Let's Go!
