Day 11,321

Another day another dollar

Somehow the phrase was playing through my head in the form of that one song. For the life of me, I just can't place it, of course I can remember the riffs and hooks and partial lyrics, but the band and title eludes me.
Aptly so, I guess to sum up my feeling on the day.
Not in the whole sense of that I am anywhere near of the action, but, it just somehow feel just. Mayhap on the subconscious level little gray cells are scheming some plot out for the mass of matter. The minions.
And no, I don't think that I'd group this as the same tier as SSDD (for non-King-ers; Same Shit Different Day), although in context, both are of the same meaning isn't it?

Don't get me wrong, life day to day for me at this moment in time is a blessing in disguise. It may seem lazy, infertile, lost-o'-the-plot, denial, or whatever else, but I've seen the other side of the coin and the turn will come.
My so-called annual descent will come to its end of the cycle pretty soon, as just the other I realize that I too have a season for everything like Heidi (her post on her seasons); of course, mine's pretty much worse in the sense of my typical 10 moons of work and the remaining 2 of the current mish-mash of be-it-soul-searching-or-break-off-the-norm-holiday-mode.
Well, at least I've seen the other side this time.
And as much as I love the Manic Street Preachers'; at least  I am not going through their many great songs of despair this time around.

A quick search got me the results. One Minute Silence - Rise & Shine
Now to download the darn tune, that one-hit wonder. And off to the next post report off the pass weekend.

Of Jumpsuits and Tighter Pants

Rumors fit-out; Yes, it is TOIGHT! toight like a tyger!

Gossips & mydressroom fit-out; yes, missed out the first jump-suit fitting of hers.

Misc - Buttons the Pomeranian, lil Kimberly, and the illegal picture in MPH of Ashleigh's FHM feature

Previous Friday the 15th, we were in Bangsar for a fit-out for this fashion gig. A good afternoon as the weather was decent alright when we reached, as we made our way along the boutiques on Telawi street. Found the 3 shops of course, and of course we only found out that I would only be utilized for just 1 fashion outlet. Loved the collection though, albeit being tight for my build. Of course we met this cute lil Pomeranian called Buttons. Well for the life of me, I just can't recall a single incident that I have any bit of fondness for toy dogs; but yeah Buttons did the trick on me. (gotta get myself checked in my allegiance, since these days I am o-kay with cats, even)

Mayhap Buttons is one oddball off his breed , to be decent and not even close to a nuisance like the rest of the bunch. Perhaps.

We also met this cute lil kid of 4 years of age, K-I-M-*-*-*-L-Y
Yes, she spelled it.
Besides that, well I gotta give her credit to see through my age under my facade to actually call me 'Uncle' and Pauline - 'Sis'.
Smart kiddo.

It rained like bastards after our little fit-out, and we spent some time at the bookstore in the mall nearby. In our excitement, we forgot that it is prohibited to snap pictures. Damage has been dealt, so we sauntered off elsewhere.

At the time of print. (or rather, log) kinda miffed to the fact that both of us will be missing out on another job for Marc Jacobs opening as it falls on the same day. Oh well, you can't have it all, yeah? (or rather, can't have the $400 Marc Jacobs shirt/dress)

Half Full / Half Empty

Day of dread came.
Car towed off into oblivion; yes I'd choose the word as I do not foresee rescuing that in any near future.
Well, in all things, as of 5-6 hours into the aftermath, I am feeling upbeat on my chances, all in all that really fueled things up as I don't see this as rock bottom, of course I may laugh about it, but to me this is another one of my undoing and I take this as the next step to move on to another phase, in the right direction thanks to the right push.
A trip to the police station confirmed the fear (or should I use another word?) that it was logged in as a tow rather than the slim chance of it being theft.
Over the course of 2 drinks with Pauline's dad somewhat helped in the sense that there are other avenues that we may explore, and of course that concerns about moving off elsewhere on a temporary basis to work things out. That's ample enough for me to glide off in thought of what else is indispensable and what's not.

Thank you Pauline, for being the rock, the northern star. We'll laugh about this in years' to come.
Well, no time to dwell on the past (or the things we lost in the car..) there's only one way from now on and it's forwards.
Let's go

Hipstamatique / 800 pics laced with Gordon's Tonic & Bitter Lemon

Johnny from Commas & Industry came over to the house and did a shoot with The Wife earlier today. At least for me, it was a complete surprise to have him over; and of course the raw pics in-between from him were dead awesome.
Simply because the freaking house is dead dirty; I mean, the living room. Well yeah, the 800 over shots didn't exactly show any dirt eh?
Will update more, battery is running out.

The Missing Weekend

Told myself that if I don't blog a few lines tonight, I'll never get round to doing anything about the past coupla 100+ hours throughout the weekend way up to the near mid-week as of tonight.
Quick update;
Saturday was Johnnie Walker's Black Circuit @ Le Marquee, Palace of The Golden Horses.
Great fun with the booze flowing and mosh-pit like heat and great music weaved and spun by those international DJs. Best bit of the night was probably my absent-mindedness to bring the camera whilst leaving the battery charging happily back home.
Of course, pics kinda suck via the mobile
thanks Mike for this pic :)

Of course, the cake goes to The Wife for getting smashed.r.e.a.l.b.a.d....
Nah, ain't gonna post it up.
Massive to see her in the state. Surprising too to know from friends that they've never seen her in such a state. Well I surprised myself in managing close to 200 metres lugging her to the carpark, so yeah guess I'm in shape for the role as bride-carrying groom. Just in case.

DeadMice

From the lion's den to the tiger's mouth.
Our final 2 mice from the other day, in which we'd decided to try and breed them; hence naming them Jack & Jill (previous doomed lovers were aptly named Hansel & Gretel by her) , of all days we decided to move them off the makeshift box home of theirs to the old hamster cage. Mind you, its kinda like those proper cage with full specs; wheel, tubes plus an odd blossomed dildo-looking mushroom for a water dispenser.
Pauline actually cleaned the cage and laid fresh newspaper as bedding, etc. Of course, I being incy-wincy with the rodent (tail and fur and probable mini bites) gave my moral support by peering by the side and held a tiny container to temporarily 'hold' them in place before transferring them to the new home.

We left them in the other room; perhaps to not agitate Floppy when we're away. Will post the picture of all 3 of them later afterwards.
So off we went for dinner and usual stuff at the mamak.
I managed to wiki some infos about mice; reproduction and all the jazz.

Got home and put her to bed, and I just happen to have this sudden crave for local burger. Cycled through my choices in my mind's eye for either Burger Daging Biasa or Burger Campur if I ain't mistaken then.
Cut long story short - burger.van.close.cos.of.sunday.instead.had.maggi.goreng.and.it.kinda.suck.and.so
I got back home about 5-ish, first thing I realized was Bagero (I named that freakin' intrusive short-tailed new tenant of a cat) camping at the top of the stairs and giving me his usual trademarked stare. And he didn't budge!
Of course I just made my up the stairs, half-wondering how come he's so high up here, rather than his spot downstairs by the sofa that he had conveniently marked. With gusto, our little friend descend past me with a good stride whilst keeping his head cocked to me. Minutely in my head I was telling him that he is not even in any league close to the cuteness of Mr. Burns from Creepy Creatures in Summit USJ (Mental note : to go see Mr. Burns soon and snap some pics)
And when I place my last step on the final rung that's when I realized the reason Bagero was there for a reason. The cage was down on the floor and opened. No trace of the lovebird hopefuls.

Yes, as of this morning when we left the house there was no sign nor sound.
Pretty much thats it.
From the lion's den to the tiger's mouth. or rather from the snake's jaw to the cat's tummy.

Total Recall remake

Spied off my radar that they're releasing a re-make of Total Recall sometime next year. Colin Farrell will lead the  cast in the quite famous Philip K.Dick's short story 'We Can Remember it For You Wholesale'. Notable cast list includes Eva Mendes and Diane Kruger (most probable role would be The Wife/ Sharon Stone, yea blonde similarity) Len Wiseman (Underworld trilogies and Die Hard 4) will be directing and truth be told, I sure hope he  picked a few tricks ever since. No doubt, the action would be over the top (re: Live Free Or Die Hard), but my 2 cents worth?
Why bother?
Why re-making this?
Total Recall imho is a definite classic in the sci fi genre.
Of course, 22 years down the road, the re-make will have better visuals (and maybe 3D, unless it might make people puking out the popcorns 20 minutes into the movie) but hey, that's just basically it.
